Role OverviewThe Nebraska Attorney General’s Office is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Attorney General to serve as the primary antitrust attorney in the Consumer Protection Bureau. The Consumer Protection Bureau plays a central role in enforcing state and federal laws against deceptive, fraudulent, and unfair business practices, including antitrust and monopolization matters.
What You Will Do
Investigate potential violations of state and federal antitrust laws, conduct civil antitrust litigation, review proposed mergers and acquisitions, draft legal documents, and advise Bureau leadership and the Attorney General on matters involving antitrust law and consumer protection enforcement.

Requirements
- Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Nebraska, or a clear ability to be licensed in Nebraska by motion
- Minimum of three years of experience in antitrust law, including mergers, anticompetition counseling, litigation, or regulatory practice in a private law firm, government agency, or enforcement body, or a minimum of three years of litigation experience that includes antitrust matters
- Excellent legal research and writing skills and strong professional judgment
- Demonstrated work ethic, initiative, and commitment to public service
