Role Overview

The Office of the Attorney General represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts. The Assistant Attorney General-DLA will represent the State in all criminal appeals filed with the District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court.

What You Will Do

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, supervising the timely filing of pleadings and documents, reviewing assignments of error, preparing and filing briefs, and representing the State in oral arguments.

The ideal candidate will have admission to the Florida Bar and two years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law, or in administrative or judicial hearings.
