Job Description
The Attorney General is seeking a highly motivated attorney with extensive prosecutorial experience to handle narcotics and firearms investigations and cases within the Enterprise & Major Crimes Division. The position involves leading investigations, reviewing search warrants, and handling grand jury practice and litigation in Superior Court.

Requirements

  • Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar or be eligible for admission and obtain Massachusetts Bar admission within one year of the start date.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in state criminal practice, including grand jury investigations, motion practice, and trials.
  • Ability to handle a large and advanced caseload and with substantial Superior Court experience.
  • A background in handling narcotics and firearm related investigations and prosecution is preferred, with extensive experience and knowledge in reviewing search warrants and wiretap warrants.
  • A demonstrated history of successful partnerships with law enforcement agencies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and ethical, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required, and ability to travel anywhere in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to support investigations and litigation.
