Job Description
The Attorney General is seeking a highly motivated attorney with extensive prosecutorial experience to handle narcotics and firearms investigations and cases within the Enterprise & Major Crimes Division. The position involves leading investigations, reviewing search warrants, and handling grand jury practice and litigation in Superior Court.
Requirements
Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar or be eligible for admission and obtain Massachusetts Bar admission within one year of the start date.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in state criminal practice, including grand jury investigations, motion practice, and trials.
Ability to handle a large and advanced caseload and with substantial Superior Court experience.
A background in handling narcotics and firearm related investigations and prosecution is preferred, with extensive experience and knowledge in reviewing search warrants and wiretap warrants.
A demonstrated history of successful partnerships with law enforcement agencies.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Effective analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and ethical, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required, and ability to travel anywhere in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to support investigations and litigation.
