Job Description
The Attorney General’s Office is looking for a highly motivated attorney with a commitment to public service to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Gaming Enforcement Division within the Criminal Bureau. The Assistant Attorney General will investigate and prosecute complex criminal cases within the jurisdiction of Western Massachusetts.

Requirements

  • Law school graduate and member of the Massachusetts Bar.
  • At least five (5) years of litigation experience is highly desirable, including experience as a criminal prosecutor or defense attorney.
  • A demonstrated history of successful partnerships with law enforcement agencies.
  • A demonstrated ability to handle a large, complex criminal caseload.
  • Jury trial and grand jury experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and ethical, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required and ability to travel anywhere in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to support investigations and litigation.
