Role OverviewThe successful applicant will join a team in pursuing major litigation involving social media platforms and children, investigating and litigating matters concerning data security, data privacy, emerging technology, and online or digital abuses. They will handle all aspects of the investigation and litigation process, independently or as part of a team.
What You Will Do
Identify key issues for investigation, engage in discovery, depositions, and motion practice, collaborate with other state and federal enforcement entities, and negotiate resolutions that serve the public interest.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will be able to learn complex ideas and concepts and effectively explain them to a court, jury, or the public. Familiarity with Massachusetts consumer protection laws and data security laws, and/or state or federal privacy laws is a plus, but is not required.
Requirements
- Member of the Massachusetts bar or eligible for admission in short order
- At least three (3) years of complex litigation experience
- Clear and persuasive written and oral communication skills and legal research capabilities
- Effective organizational skills, time management abilities, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate on differing matters with teams whose members have various experience levels and skill sets
- Sound and thoughtful judgment and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with Massachusetts consumer protection laws and data security laws, and/or state or federal privacy laws is a plus, but is not required

- Salary: $87,500-$130,595, commensurate with JD year
