Job Description
The Attorney General's Office is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join the Trial Division as an Assistant Attorney General. The successful candidate will represent and defend the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in civil lawsuits, including tort, contract, and civil rights cases.

Requirements

  • Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar.
  • At least five (5) years of civil litigation experience, including experience in at least one of the following substantive areas: tort, contracts, land use, eminent domain, civil rights, or employment litigation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing a large and varied caseload, preferred.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation or have a valid driver's license, as travel may be required to various courts, clients, opposing party locations, and law offices.
