Job Description
The Auditor of State's office is looking for accounting professionals to fill an external financial audit vacancy. Auditors ensure that taxpayer dollars are being utilized by public entities according to the law.

Requirements

  • Develop working knowledge of auditing techniques, Ohio State government, professional auditing standards, and State fiscal practices.
  • Serve as a contributing member of an audit team, completing assigned duties of limited scope and communicate with the team leader concerning proper methods to be applied in the audit context.
  • Conduct background research of agencies being audited, including examination of relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Travel to audit site locations and obtains audit evidence.
  • Help draft audit comments for audit reports.
  • Prepare preliminary drafts of audit findings.
