Role OverviewThe Assistant Baseball Coach will work with coaches and athletic directors to design and implement a cohesive athletic program that supports the district philosophy. The coach will be responsible for developing fundamental skills in baseball, emphasizing academic excellence, and preparing student athletes for the next level.
What You Will Do
The coach will conduct practices, prepare game plans, and provide guidance and leadership to student athletes. They will also be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, adhering to sound training principles, and following injury prevention and rehabilitation protocols.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of district and KSHSAA policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. They will also be able to motivate and discipline student athletes, and work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in job-related area preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Job related experience within a specialized field is required
- KSDE certification preferred
- CPR-First Aid Certifications
- Continuing Educ. / Training Clearances
- Maintains Certificates and/or Licenses
- Criminal Background Clearance
