Job Description
GAI Consultants is seeking an Assistant Substation CAD Operator 1 to support Substation projects. The successful candidate will perform CAD work of red-lined engineering markups for various substations and/or protection and control engineering projects as well as project support working under engineering supervision.

Requirements

  • Opening, revising, plotting, and saving of drawing CAD files
  • Assist in compiling, collating, assembling, and verifying completeness of drawing and project document packages
  • Knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD package
  • Ability to learn multiple software platforms including, but not limited to, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Attend project-specific meetings as required
  • Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and be able to work effectively under the pressure of deadlines and unexpected developments
  • Ability to work extended hours or after hours when required
  • Learning and helping to find ways to improve GAI Engineering CAD Standards
  • Effective communication with the project team
