Role OverviewThe Assistant Captain role is a temporary trial assignment at Akua Behavioral Health. The role involves staff management, on-call leadership, hands-on coverage, performance management, break compliance, operations, and escalation. The position requires compassion, strong professional ethics, a positive attitude, and emotional composure.
What You Will Do
Direct the work of PM and NOC Clinical Technicians, participate in the on-call rotation, step into Clinical Technician duties, conduct bi-weekly CMA 1:1s, review timesheets, manage program supplies, perform chart audits, and communicate incidents to the Program Director.

Requirements
- Current Akua Behavioral Health employee
- RADT, SUDRC, or RAC license/certification
- High School Diploma / GED or Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of behavioral healthcare and lead technician experience
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Current Health Screen / Physical
- TB Test Clearance
