Job Description
The City of Fort Worth is seeking an Assistant City Attorney I to advise City Departments on employment-related matters, including drafting and reviewing employment policies, handling employee disputes, and responding to legal inquiries. This in-house legal department provides excellent legal service to the City and fosters a collegial, mentorship-focused work environment. The role involves processing public information requests, reviewing personnel policies, and advising city boards and commissions.
Requirements
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience, including trial and/or transactional experience
Possession of a license from the Supreme Court of Texas to practice law
Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check
