Job Description
The City of Fort Worth is seeking an Assistant City Attorney I to advise City Departments on employment-related matters, including drafting and reviewing employment policies, handling employee disputes, and responding to legal inquiries. This in-house legal department provides excellent legal service to the City and fosters a collegial, mentorship-focused work environment. The role involves processing public information requests, reviewing personnel policies, and advising city boards and commissions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience, including trial and/or transactional experience
  • Possession of a license from the Supreme Court of Texas to practice law
  • Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check
