Job Description
The Division of Transportation Planning & Management is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to work with a multi-disciplinary team on the design and implementation of complex transportation planning, safety, and engineering projects. The selected candidate will assist in reviewing environmental studies and conducting traffic operations and safety studies.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college
  • One year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work
  • Master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • Experience in CEQR, SEQR, and/or NEPA processes
  • Proficiency in HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, AutoCAD, AutoTurn, and/or knowledge of traffic simulation models (i.e., VISSIM, etc.)
