Role OverviewThe Assistant Controller - Company Direct will manage the Company Direct Accounting and U.S. and Canada General Accounting group, including general ledger transactions, account reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable functions. The role involves managing a team of 8 employees and ensuring strong internal controls throughout the organization. The Assistant Controller will also support Company Direct Operations with information needs, ad hoc analysis, and research as needed.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Assistant Controller - Company Direct include managing the accounting functions in accordance with Corporate policies and procedures, managing staff, coordinating quarterly reporting to Corporate Accounting and external auditors, preparing monthly Company Direct P&L forecasts, and performing monthly reviews of journal entries, account reconciliations, tax schedules and filings.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
- Minimum 8+ years relevant work experience, including progressive accounting and strong supervisory experience

- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail but with a big picture focus
