Role OverviewAs an Assistant Controller at Connecticut Innovations, you'll be responsible for managing the financial activities of the portfolio entities, including analysis of investment performance, financial reporting, and budgeting. You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team and have broad exposure across multiple funds. What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning investment accounting, creating financial management reports, preparing bank reconciliations and journal entries, reviewing accounts, and assisting with valuation processes and audit deliverables. You'll also partner cross-functionally with investment and operations teams on ad hoc projects and process improvements.

Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in accounting, FP&A, or transaction advisory work supporting the investment management industry
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel and some modeling skills
- High emotional quotient (EQ) and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
- Superior storytelling, financial acumen, and data visualization skills
