Job Description
NYBG is seeking an innovative Mycologist or Cryptogamic Botanist to join the Center for Biodiversity and Evolution. The role involves developing innovative collections-based and laboratory research programs focused on biodiversity science, using extramural funding. This position also involves engaging in education and communication and advancing NYBG’s strategic objectives.
Requirements
PhD in Botany, Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Mycology, or a related field.
Strong publication record.
Evidence of potential or current success in securing external funding.
Knowledge of taxonomic group (fungi or cryptogamic flora).
Ability to collaborate with NYBG's science staff.
Strong communication skills.
