Job Description
NYBG is seeking an innovative Mycologist or Cryptogamic Botanist to join the Center for Biodiversity and Evolution. The role involves developing innovative collections-based and laboratory research programs focused on biodiversity science, using extramural funding. This position also involves engaging in education and communication and advancing NYBG’s strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • PhD in Botany, Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Mycology, or a related field.
  • Strong publication record.
  • Evidence of potential or current success in securing external funding.
  • Knowledge of taxonomic group (fungi or cryptogamic flora).
  • Ability to collaborate with NYBG's science staff.
  • Strong communication skills.
