Role OverviewThe Office of Engineering Audits (OEA) is seeking an Administrative Project Manager (Non-Managerial) to serve as an Assistant Deputy Director. The selected candidate will provide independent audit for payments under major capital construction and construction-related services. They will review and approve contract change orders to ensure that scope and cost are reasonable and in alignment with contract documents.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include conducting desk/field audits of partial, substantial, final, and contract change payment requisitions for major construction-related contract work. The candidate will also perform final review and examination of prices, reimbursable costs, and technical trade labor rates to ensure that payment requests are in accordance with City Charter, Procurement Policy Board (PPB Rules), Comptroller’s Directives, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

They will also be required to train assigned staff and ensure that departmental and contractual obligations are met.
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration
- Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering or expediting of engineering design, and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project
- Two years of experience in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity
