Role OverviewReporting to the Senior Director, Caring for Jews in Need, the Assistant Director creates and oversees the implementation of select Caring for Jews in Need programs and convenes CJIN partners and stakeholders for trainings and collaborations to further enhance CJIN’s social service safety net.
What You Will Do
Assist with strategic direction to CJIN Initiative, communicate and work with Federation social service partners, lead the development and implementation of program impact and evaluation efforts, collaborate with social service partners and industry experts, and identify trends and best practices in social service needs.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or a related area, 2-3 years of experience in a community organization, and a strong understanding of the Jewish community and its culture and history.
Requirements
- Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related area
- 2-3 years of experience in a community organization
- Experience and interest in caring communities and social service practices
- Understanding of the structure of the Jewish community, its religious components, culture, and history
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Extremely organized, detail oriented, highly motivated, and flexible
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
