Assistant Director of Finance

Hyatt seeks a Finance leader to support the Director of Finance in overseeing day-to-day operations and contributing to strategic financial planning at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. This role is part of a team committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills, building connections across the organization with stakeholders, colleagues, and guests.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Director of Finance manages the hotel's financial operations, including month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, balance-sheet reconciliations, internal controls, cash management, and financial analysis. They supervise the Finance team on a day-to-day basis, support team development, and act as the senior Finance leader in the Director of Finance's absence. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing audits, and partnering with hotel leadership for sound business decisions.

Requirements

• 4 years or more of finance career progression
• Experience supervising and directing a team
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
• Demonstrated history of success
• Results driven, energetic, and focused
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
