Assistant Director of Finance

The Assistant Director of Finance will oversee the day-to-day operations and contribute to strategic financial planning to deliver on key priorities for all stakeholders in achievement of business objectives. The role requires a growth mindset and a willingness to grow the career, supporting the Director of Finance in managing the hotel's financial operations.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Director of Finance will prepare and review journal entries, month-end reports, and reconciliations. They will also participate in monthly financial reviews and support the Director of Finance with the presentation of these reports.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 4 years or more of finance career progression, preferably in hospitality, retail, or related industry. They will also have experience supervising and directing a team, and prior experience with Hyatt systems such as POS, Oracle, and Kronos/UKG Dimensions is a plus.

Requirements

• 4 years or more of finance career progression
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field
• Experience supervising and directing a team
• Prior experience with Hyatt systems such as POS, Oracle, and Kronos/UKG Dimensions
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
• Demonstrated history of success
• Results driven, energetic, and focused
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
• Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
