Role Overview

The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the hotel's general ledger financials, managing the Finance department, and ensuring proper fiscal management. This position will assist with supervising Finance staff, system administration, and completing year-end audit processes.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of this position include managing hotel on-site accounting functions, system administration, financial planning and budgeting, accounting for multiple business units, and assisting with special reporting and analysis projects.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferable in hospitality
  • Experience supervising accounting staff members
  • Prior POS (Infrasys or Symphony), Oracle, Kronos/UKG Dimensions, Birchstreet, Opera, and other Hyatt systems experience is a plus
  • Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must have excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
