Role Overview

The Assistant Director of Finance (ADOF) is responsible for overseeing the hotel's general ledger financials, managing the Finance department, and ensuring proper fiscal management. The ADOF will assist with supervising Finance staff, system administration, and hotel on-site accounting functions.

Responsibilities include managing and overseeing hotel on-site accounting functions, system administration, financial planning and budgeting, accounting for multiple business units, and assisting with special reporting and analysis projects.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferable in hospitality
  • Experience supervising accounting staff members
  • Prior experience with POS (Infrasys or Symphony), Oracle, Kronos/UKG Dimensions, Birchstreet, Opera, and other Hyatt systems
  • Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
