Role Overview

The Assistant Director of Finance (ADOF) is responsible for overseeing the hotel's general ledger financials and managing the Finance department in line with Hyatt Corporate standards. The position involves supervising Finance staff, managing accounting functions, and ensuring proper fiscal management and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include supervising Finance staff, managing accounting functions, preparing financial analysis, and participating in special reporting and analysis projects.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferable in hospitality
  • Experience supervising accounting staff members
  • Prior experience with POS (Infrasys or Symphony), Oracle, Kronos/UKG Dimensions, Birchstreet, Opera, and other Hyatt systems
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
