Role OverviewThe Assistant Director of Food Services Dietary Manager is responsible for developing and directing the overall operation of the Assistant Dietary Department. This includes ensuring quality nutritional services are provided daily, maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment, and assisting with dietary planning and assessments.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include coordinating dietary services, developing departmental policies, assisting with care plans and assessments, ensuring dietary personnel are aware of care plans, and reviewing and revising care plans as necessary.
Why It Might Be a Fit
A successful candidate will have experience in long-term care, a CDM certificate, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Requirements
- CDM certificate preferred
- Previous LTC experience preferred
- Competent in the use of kitchen equipment and maintenance and sanitation
- Ability to inspect food storage rooms and utility/janitorial closets
- Ability to process diet changes and new diets
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and classify routine and job-related dietary functions
- Ability to participate in facility surveys and interviews residents or family members
