Role Overview

The Assistant Director for Fraternity Sorority Life at the University of Alabama at Birmingham plays a key role in both strategic and day-to-day operations of the fraternity and sorority community. This position advises governing councils, chapters, and student leaders while working with campus partners and external organizations. The role also supports the Student Assembly Building operations, including reservations and event registration for fraternities, sororities, and the broader student organization community.

What You Will Do

Advise fraternities, sororities, student organizations, and governing councils. Design, coordinate, and assess leadership development, educational, risk management, and community-building programs. Manage event registration, space reservations, and event logistics. Recruit, select, train, schedule, supervise, and develop student employees. Use data to assess programs and identify trends. Establish productive relationships with students, alumni, advisors, national organizations, and campus partners.
