Role OverviewThe Assistant Director of Nursing is a member of MedStar Health's Division of Nursing and leadership team. They support and collaborate with the Director of Nursing to provide leadership and oversight for a specific unit/department. They direct and coordinate the nursing and patient care delivery of the unit-based professional and support personnel.
What You Will Do
Develops unit/department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance with hospital/entity policies and procedures, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory and accreditation standards. Develops and maintains effective relationships and partnerships across disciplines and departments to ensure the delivery of efficient and quality patient care services.

They will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a Nationally accredited program and 1-2 years of progressive nursing care experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a Nationally accredited program
- 1-2 years of progressive nursing care experience
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- Specialty certification from a nationally recognized nursing organization
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP)
