Role OverviewThe Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the Nursing Department. The role involves overseeing nursing staffing, ensuring quality care, and acting as the DON-designee in the absence of the DON.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include managing Education, Infection Prevention, and Wound Management, orienting and training nursing staff, supervising and evaluating work performance, and performing other related duties.

Requirements
- Wound Care Certification
- SigmaCare experience
- Supervisory or managerial experience in a hospital or nursing home
- Current registration in New York State as a RN
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or minimum five (5) years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Ability to work cohesively with residents, families, and staff
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
