Assistant Director of Venue Operations (Citywide)

Requirements

• Assist in leading the Technical Department
• Provide technical guidance to venue operators and team members
• Maintain working knowledge of technical safety and general technical practices
• Assist in negotiating IATSE Local 720 agreements
• Work directly with the Citywide Sr. Director of Entertainment
• Assist in providing direction, guidance, and support to team members regarding hiring/terminating, training, scheduling, evaluating, and promoting of FOH & BOH Entertainment Operations employees
• Oversee a show's load-in / load-out, rigging, tech as well as any production as needed
• Supervise and review all schedules for all production crew and FOH needs as required for the proper presentation of the Show
• Work closely with FOH and BOH entertainment teams to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of each venue's technical equipment and FOH gear
• Assist Citywide Director of Technical Production in developing training plans for all FOH and BOH staff along with standardized event SOP's
• Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks
• Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior
• Design standard operating procedures for communication and department organization
• Assist Citywide Entertainment Directors in developing and maintaining operating and capital budgets for both Technical and Entertainment Operational budgets
• Support Venue Directors at PH Live and Colosseum as needed to cover key dates acting as the head of operations
• Assist in End of Month accounting review processes and P&L review sessions
• Be knowledgeable in CCFD and NFPA Fire, Building, and Egress codes, standards and safety being able to initiate the permit process with CCFD and represent the venue in discussions regarding safety and compliance
