Role Overview

The Office of the Bronx County District Attorney is seeking dynamic, collaborative, and experienced attorneys to serve as Assistant District Attorneys in the Youth Justice Bureau. The role involves training newly hired and promoted attorneys, supervising the daily operation of the Complaint Room, DAT Unit, and Arraignment parts, and making decisions on the prosecution of arrest matters. The team is driven by its mission of “Pursuing Justice with Integrity.”

Specific duties include training newly hired and promoted attorneys, supervising the daily operation of ECAB, examining and reviewing legal issues, drafting and arraigning arrest matters, and handling telephone inquiries from various agencies.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree
  • Admission to the New State Bar
  • US Citizenship and New York State Residency
  • 4+ years of trial experience or equivalent
  • 18 months experience in training or lecturing
  • Ability to work and supervise others in remote settings
  • Excellent people skills and demeanor
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics
  • Ability to analytically solve issues or problems from inception through conclusion
