Role OverviewThe Assistant Fleet Maintenance Manager assists in planning, organizing, and supervising the Division's maintenance staff and functions. This position holds key responsibility for supporting overall fleet/equipment processes, including inspection, repair, pre/post servicing, vehicle distribution, quality assurance, and disposal at the Division level.
What You Will Do
Assists with departmental hiring, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, scheduling of work assignments, and overtime authorization. Provides hands-on maintenance assistance as needed on the shop floor.

Requirements
- High School diploma
- 8 years progressive hands-on experience in fleet support and maintenance
- Solid project management, resource planning, oral and written communication skills
- Specialized understanding of maintenance procedures and general knowledge of industry regulations
- Ability to support complex and dynamic situations requiring a well-developed sense of strategic and tactical priorities
- High degree of autonomy, yet team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix organization
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to produce accurate and consistent work quality
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and maintenance software programs
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in researching, interpreting, data management, and report generation to support management decisions
