Role Overview

The Assistant Fleet Manager-Southaven is responsible for managing the Division's maintenance staff and functions, including fleet/equipment support, maintenance processes, and associated tasks. This role works in partnership with the Regional Maintenance Manager and Operations teams to ensure overall fleet condition, equipment reliability, safety, and cost-effective fleet performance.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Fleet Manager-Southaven will manage departmental hiring, training, and performance management, maintain a preventive/corrective maintenance program, review status reports, provide hands-on maintenance assistance, and ensure all maintenance-related data is available for input in the vehicle maintenance system.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 15+ years of progressive hands-on experience in fleet management
  • Solid project management and resource planning skills
  • Specialized understanding of maintenance procedures and industry regulations
  • Ability to manage complex and dynamic situations
  • High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and maintenance software programs
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in researching, interpreting, data management, and report generation
