Job Description
The Assistant HIM Director assists with oversight of the HIM and Coding Department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining confidentiality of privileged information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field required.
  • Certification in Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required or obtained within one (1) year of hire.
  • Two years’ experience in the Health Information Management or Medical Records Department of an acute care hospital or ambulatory care center is required.
  • Experience with HIPAA regulations and being a Privacy Officer.
