Role Overview

Spruce Peak, the premier Vermont mountain community located slope side at Stowe Resort, is seeking an Assistant Human Resources Director to assist the HRD with leading the day-to-day Human Resources function, overseeing all HR office administration, and fostering a culture that reflects Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. This role assists with both short- and long-term HR strategy while executing hotel and company initiatives, with a focus on developing into a future Human Resources Director.

What You Will Do

The AHRD assists in overseeing and/or performing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, international recruitment, housing, performance management, leave of absence administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives. They will partner with the Director of Human Resources to execute HR strategy and company initiatives.

This role requires a minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience and two years of HR experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience. Candidates should have strong generalist experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position offers a pay range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, plus benefits including paid time off, health benefits after 30 days, a winter ski pass, summer golf membership, complimentary hotel stays, and 401(k) matching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
  • Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience
  • Strong Human Resources generalist experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional administrative and project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for colleagues and guests through a lens of care
