Role Overview

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager position's primary responsibility is to fulfill Buckle's mission statement, 'to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.' AIT and Assistant Managers perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management, work directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team, and share responsibility for training and motivating Teammates.

What You Will Do

Greet Guests with a friendly attitude, recommend merchandise, and provide legendary service. Anticipate and fulfill Guest needs, maintain and share knowledge of sales and promotions, and achieve personal sales goals. Lead by example, recognize recruiting opportunities, and develop skills to lead, direct, and motivate new Teammates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related retail experience and/or training
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs throughout the store and backroom
