Role Overview

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager position's primary responsibility is to fulfill Buckle's mission statement, 'to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.' AIT and Assistant Managers perform a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management.

What You Will Do

Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and consistently provide legendary service to each Guest. Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires. Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be successful in this role, you must be eager and assertive to answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise. You should be able to demonstrate product utilizing product knowledge and sales education, consistently sharing that knowledge and education with Team. You will also be responsible for training and coaching with manager on all non-sales positions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related retail experience and/or training
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs throughout the store and backroom
