Role OverviewThe Assistant in Training (AIT) is responsible for fulfilling the store's mission statement, providing legendary service to guests, and performing various sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management.
What You Will Do
The AIT will greet guests, recommend merchandise, maintain sales knowledge, and achieve personal sales goals. They will also train and motivate teammates, act as store manager in their absence, and participate in daily setup, training, and reviewing.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The AIT will work directly with the store manager and leadership team to develop sales, recruit new teammates, and provide leadership. They will also be responsible for recognizing recruiting opportunities, coaching and creating relationships with guests, and executing all point of sale procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
