Role OverviewAssistant Machine Operators directly support all machine operations, including setup, cleanup, and recommending improvements to meet customer demand. They work safely at all times, follow Good Manufacturing Processes, and learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures.
What You Will Do
Assist the Machine Operator with maximizing equipment utilization, improve set up times and down times, and help to identify and address mechanical concerns. Learn and understand the equipment, cross-train on other machines, and assist with completing necessary reports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to work overtime as necessary, sometimes on short notice. Must be able to read and follow instructions, read a tape measure with speed and accuracy, and apply concepts of high school math.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in the packaging industry a plus
- Lift Truck Operator License (may be required)
- Ability to read and follow instructions
