Role OverviewThe Assistant Maintenance will assist the maintenance supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the property, working with the leasing team to maximize renewal and leasing opportunities, and ensuring all duties are carried out with safety first and according to Valiant Residential policies.
What You Will Do
Service requests made by residents should be completed within 24 hours, schedule the on-call rotation for the staff, assist with service as necessary, and perform minor and routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis.

Requirements
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA (refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification)
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with team members, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Own a basic set of hand tools
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance
- Ability to perform work responsibilities at other locations and ability to travel within major metropolitan areas with possible overnight stays in other cities
- Ability to work some weekends as needed
