Job Description
The Assistant Store Manager oversees daily retail operations, ensures high standards of customer service, and directs projects and responsibilities assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
Knowledge of overall store policies, procedures, and goals
Management responsibilities and ability to fill in for the Store Manager
Training of store personnel
Supervising in-store personnel to ensure optimum performance and customer service
Inventory management
General housekeeping and store maintenance
Shopping the competition monthly
Participating in and leading monthly store meetings
Setting a positive example by following company procedures
Developing promotions to increase store traffic
Ensuring proper merchandising and maintenance of end-caps, cross-merchandising, and feature displays
