Role Overview

The assistant coach provides instructional, administrative, and recruiting support services under the direction of the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. The primary duty is to assist the head coach in the implementation of sport training through teaching and instructing the student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of tennis.

What You Will Do

Assist in providing sport skill instruction, conduct practice sessions, perform game-related duties, motivate players, contribute to recruiting efforts, support team fundraising initiatives, mentor student athletes, and represent the University in a positive manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in coaching tennis or other related tennis activities
  • Demonstrated tennis coaching knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, teaching, and communication skills
  • General knowledge of NCAA Division III rules
