Job Description
The Inpatient Float Pool at UT Southwestern is a high-impact, system-level nursing team that ensures safe, responsive, and flexible staffing across both Clements University Hospital and Zale Lipshy Pavilion. The team adapts in real time to fluctuations in census, acuity, and staffing demands, partnering with inpatient leadership, Central Staffing, and Hospital Administration to sustain safe care delivery and support hospital-wide operations. As a Float Pool Assistant Nurse Manager, you will serve in a dual-impact leadership role that blends direct team supervision with enterprise-level staffing oversight, collaborating with unit leaders to optimize real-time staffing, leading staffing huddles and facilitating shift reports, serving as a liaison between frontline staff and hospital leadership, and addressing emergent staffing concerns with urgency and clarity.

Requirements

  • BSN
  • 3 years experience as a RN
  • RN license
  • BLS certification
  • NLC certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NIHSS certification
