Role OverviewThe Assistant Operations and Academy Preparatory Program Director will serve as a dual-role position, assisting the Director of Cadet Operations in planning, coordinating, and executing daily and long-term military operations, training, and logistics. The Director will also manage the administration, development, and execution of GMC's Service Academy Preparatory Program (SAPP), which supports scholars pursuing appointments to the United States Service Academies.
What You Will Do
The Assistant Operations and Academy Preparatory Program Director will perform duties including, but not limited to, planning and executing major Corps of Cadets events, overseeing cadet leadership training and development, coordinating logistical and administrative support for the Corps, and serving as an active leader and mentor during physical fitness training and extracurricular cadet activities.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in-progress from an accredited institution
- Military service with an honorable discharge, or currently serving in the Active Component, National Guard, or Reserve Component
- Demonstrated leadership and operations management experience in military, higher education, or comparable organizations
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, logistical, and project management skills
- Ability to mentor, advise, and lead college-age students in both academic and physical military environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student information management systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple co-equal operational priorities
- Customer-service oriented with a commitment to student success
- Physical capability to actively support and participate in cadet activities, physical fitness events, hikes, and other Corps of Cadets physical requirements
