Assistant Production Manager

Requirements

• Assisting the Production Manager in organizing and supervising work in the Production Department
• Performing other duties as required
• Hiring and training new staff or assisting management with this process
• Conducting or assisting with performance evaluations
• Assisting with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees by company policy
• Monitoring and recommending changes in work methods and/or equipment usage to improve labor utilization, production efficiency, and department expenses
• Conducting new hire and ongoing training in all production departments
• Consulting with engineering, sales, and service management to ensure the smooth operation of the plant
• Executing company production policies, procedures, and standards
• Monitoring and ensuring that standards for production, quality, housekeeping, and safety are met
• Following written and verbal instructions, attending meetings, and performing other tasks as directed by supervision
• Working with and supporting other branch personnel as required by supervisor
