Job Description
The Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at University of Kansas Medical Center will perform advanced bronchoscopic and interventional pulmonary procedures, manage pleural and complex pulmonary disease, and provide high-quality medical care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, the Assistant Professor will play an active role in the education and training of Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellows, as well as participate in departmental and divisional academic activities.

Requirements

  • MD, DO or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in basic/translational research in respiratory field
  • Perform advanced interventional pulmonary and bronchoscopic diagnostic procedures
  • Manage pleural disease using state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic techniques
  • Provide comprehensive care for pulmonary patients in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings
  • Collaborate with an established Interventional Pulmonary and Advanced Bronchoscopy research group
  • Contribute to the education and mentorship of Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise in interventional pulmonary medicine
