Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection seeks an Assistant Project Manager to oversee water and wastewater system projects in the upstate watershed. The selected candidate will assist in supervising projects, planning, coordinating, and directing the implementation of design and construction. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, and critical thinking skills.
Requirements
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration;
A master’s degree in architecture that is the first professional degree in architecture from an accredited college or university;
Critical thinking skills and effective independent data analysis;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to meet deadlines;
Flexibility in assignment of work responsibilities;
Ability to operate a motor vehicle;
Understanding of project management principles;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products;
Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform field work;
