Job Description
We invite you to apply for the Assistant Project Manager position with Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications while partnering with project leadership to maintain quality, schedule, and budget alignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and QA/QC practices, with a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field and at least 2 years of QA/QC or construction inspection experience.

Requirements

  • Perform QA/QC inspections in accordance with Chapter 17 of the NYC Building Code and applicable industry standards
  • Document construction activities, inspections, and non-conformance issues with clear, concise reporting
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify compliance with project requirements
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues in real time
  • Track and maintain inspection logs, reports, and project documentation
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules, identifying risks, and supporting mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements on all job sites
  • Support continuous improvement of QA/QC processes and field procedures
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on quality, progress, and risks
