Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager assists the assigned management team in maintaining project/contract organization, communication, and efficiency. This position is 100% on-site and requires living within driving distance of Marion, IA. The role involves various project-related tasks, reporting, and analysis to facilitate the overall success of the project/contract.

What You Will Do

Develops, maintains, and updates project documentation; manages various program tasks; develops and maintains effective project files; obtains project-specific information; assists the management team to ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in; and ensures direct reports are successfully performing their work duties.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in an industry-related field or 4 years of related experience and/or training. Telecommunications Construction Industry knowledge and experience are strongly preferred. The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills, basic math skills, and experience with Database software, Computer Aided Designs (CAD), Internet software, and MS office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an industry-related field or 4 years of related experience and/or training
• Telecommunications Construction Industry knowledge and experience strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and comprehend various written and data-driven correspondence
• Basic computer operating and data entry skills
• Experience with Database software, Computer Aided Designs (CAD), Internet software, and MS office
• Firm grasp on scheduling methodology
• Proficient knowledge of the project life cycle as defined by PMI
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
• Valid Driver's license
