Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager will support and lead critical wastewater treatment plant construction projects in Oregon. The role involves planning, organizing, and staffing key field positions, establishing project objectives, and coordinating with clients and A/E contacts. The Assistant Project Manager will also monitor construction, manage financial aspects of contracts, and provide leadership and technical support to project teams.

Requirements

  • 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience and training/education
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of construction, design, finance, and management experience/knowledge required on heavy civil or industrial construction projects
  • 3 - 5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
  • A thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities is vital
  • Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential
  • Strong business orientation required. Proven experience and judgment
