Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager is a key member of the project team, responsible for supporting the planning, procurement coordination, monitoring, and supervision of contracts throughout the engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning process for utility-scale solar projects. This role may manage external engineers, contractors, and suppliers under the direction of a more senior Project Manager and may support multiple small projects or one large project. The Assistant Project Manager works closely with Project Managers, Directors, and internal design, administration, finance, and supply chain teams to help ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

What You Will Do

Responsible for fulfilling Company quality goals on assigned projects. Responsible for ensuring 100% customer satisfaction on assigned projects. Support the management of the system design and construction process for all assigned projects. Support the management of cost and schedule goals for assigned projects through project closeout.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Utility-scale solar experience required.
  • Additional experience with electrical systems and wiring strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical, supervisory, and project management skills based on construction industry experience.
  • HV substation and/or general contracting experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to successfully procure, monitor, and assess subcontracted construction functions such as electrical contractors and commercial roofers.
