Assistant Project Manager

Responsible for assisting Project Managers and Sales Professionals in the development, planning, execution, and monitoring of projects focused on the turnkey construction of high voltage electrical substations, transmission lines, and distribution lines.

What You Will Do

Coordinate work with Purchasing, assist with project estimates and pricing, assist with the development of project schedules, and resolve inter-group conflicts and project delays.

Must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related field, and three years of experience in the design, construction, or operations of substations and/or transmission lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related field
• Three years of experience in the design, construction, or operations of substations and/or transmission lines
• Three years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups
• Demonstrated understanding of substations, substation control, and transmission systems
• Understand financial aspects of project controls
• Interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, organizational ability, and leadership talent
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Ability to negotiate and influence key decision makers
• Technical writing skills with an understanding of business management concepts
• Computer proficient: familiar with Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Microsoft Project and Primavera experience strongly preferred
