Role OverviewThe Assistant Project Manager assists the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases of a project, including subcontractor relations, cost accounting, and billing procedures.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with team members, facilitate team and client meetings, communicate project information, manage daily operational aspects, track project milestones, and identify necessary resources.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software, and have experience with Federal contracting. Ability to manage several projects at once and follow up with clients until problems are resolved.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architectural, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontracted work
- Knowledge of standard commercial construction practices
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling software
- Ability to read plans
- Minimum 2 years construction work experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and be a US citizen
